Here’s a Gibson Custom Shop Historic Les Paul Custom 3-Pickup with Factory Bigsby from 2000, the whole package: case and all.
Decent weight, not to bad if you have good straps, 10.0lbs without my strap, 10.4lbs with my strap.
It’s a nice rounded C not thick like a ’57, I dare say a tiny bit thicker 59 style of C, it’s not ‘58 thick. “Medium”. Triple ‘57 Classic Pickups (great unpotted PAF's) and Bigsby B7 Tailpiece.
The lacquer is chipping at the binding at multiple spots, the back has a good amount of buckle rash, some chips, dinks; nothing major. The gold hardware has multiple spots where it’s turned white and patinaed. This is a “Very Good” players grade instrument in my opinion. No breaks, no cracks, nothing to damage the integrity of the guitar. Real play wear and naturally rolled fingerboard edges from 26 years of usage.
A little more detail on the one change on the guitar. The middle pickup is wired like Peter Frampton’s, very versatile middle pickup wiring. The bridge tone knob becomes useless and the rhythm is a master tone for this ”mod”. It‘s really nice. Can be easily changed back by undoing it, moving the wire, re-sautering/soldering it.
Please message me with any questions, I'm happy to answer.
Selling to fund more guitar purchases that maybe be bad or good.
