The Korg Microsampler is the best bang for the buck tool to sample and quickly create songs. All of the immediate sampling tools have dedicated controls.
It sounds great in default Hi-Fi mode, but it also does Lo-Fi aliased bit crush tones with the best. If you don't know about this sampler, just check the chatter about in forums. It has standard and USB Midi connections. Runs on common 9v adapter or batteries. The adapter is not included.
