By 1960, the Les Paul Special had established itself as one of Gibson’s most distinctive solidbody designs, offering the punch and simplicity of dual P-90 pickups in a straightforward mahogany construction. This doublecut example from that year shows a highly desirable original TV Yellow finish, which remains strong with isolated wear spots on the lower side of the body and the top side of the neck. Otherwise, this Special presents in excellent condition and retains its original components throughout, with the sole exception of a professional refret to ensure optimal performance. It comes with its original chipboard case.
