This 2009 Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Custom Reissue Flame Top brings pure high-end authority straight from the Historic Division. Dressed in a rich Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish over a bookmatched flamed maple top, this instrument pairs iconic '68 Custom appointments with serious visual flair.

The solid mahogany body shows minor players wear with some small scuffing as shown in photos scuff are visually difficult to notice. the body carries multi-ply binding along the top and back, paired with a solid mahogany neck and a smooth ebony fingerboard fitted with mother-of-pearl block inlays. The headstock displays the classic split-diamond inlay, multi-ply binding, and gold Grover Rotomatic tuners. Gold-plated hardware, a Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, black pickguard, and gold reflector knobs complete the classic aesthetic.

Dual humbucking pickups deliver all the thick, warm, and aggressive tonal character expected from a Custom Shop build, wired through a traditional three-way switch with two volume and two tone controls. There is a small visually noticeable "nic" just above the tone and volume nobs, size is less that a ball point.

Serial number 075598 is stamped on the back of the headstock and fully verified on the included original Gibson Custom Certificate of Authenticity signed by former General Manager Rick Gembar. The package comes complete with the original Gibson Custom hardshell case featuring a deep red plush velvet interior, the original hanging tag, and the customer care guide manual.
