We are selling this beautiful Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop / Custom on behalf of its owner. It was made in 2003 at the Custom Shop in Nashville, USA, purchased new by the current owner, and is sold with its original hard case. It has the classic, head-turning good looks of an Ebony LP with gold hardware, and sounds very persuasive when tested.
This guitar has never been played in anger, but close inspection has revealed that the Gibson fret nibs/binding are starting to pull away ever so slightly, which may not be an issue for a collector but may become an issue in the future for a serious player (playability is not noticeably affected at the moment). This is the only issue that merits the "Fair" condition label on this platform. Please see the centre of the final detail photo, which depicts an area of the neck binding that is beginning to pull away from the fret ends and main binding.
The owner was keen to keep all components original for a sale but would like to acknowledge the cost of a hypothetical repair in the asking price. For this reason we advise viewing in person if possible, and/or a discussion with us prior to any online purchase.
Apart from this, the Les Paul Custom is effectively in "old new stock" condition.
Specifications of second-hand items, which are sold without UK tax , are established to the best of our knowledge.
