Get the wood on wood stick sound without clipping a rimriser on your snare! In the mid 2000's to the 2010's when I would go to a show and hear a fat snare with a beautiful stick click and wonder "Dang what snare is that?" it was always one of these.
For a very economical price point these well constructed 10 lug maple snares offer highly stable and customizable tuning that lasts without lug locks. For all you drum dial and tune-bot users this is one of the more articulate and warm snares for the price and can play a good range of tones and styles. I have used this for gigging for about a decade playing pop, country and jazz and for a fat recording snare.
This snare has a 20 band Puresound snare strand and a nearly new Remo Weatherking Fiberskyn 3 top head and has a lot of dexterity in this configuration along with some added value. The hoops are both in excellent condition with only minor rim rash on one side where it rode in a gig back or rack for many years.
