The Barber LTD (Limited) Overdrive is a boutique pedal from Barber Electronics, a small American builder with a following among players who prioritize dynamic response and low noise floors in their dirt chain. The LTD was positioned as a refined, lower-gain companion to Barber's more aggressive designs, intended for use as a primary drive or as a platform boost. Controls typically include Level, Tone, and Gain, giving players straightforward access to the core voice without excessive feature complexity. The discrete transistor design contributes to its reputation for feel and responsiveness under pick attack.
