This was my first outboard mic preamp and it was a great introduction to that world. It has everthing you need in a preamp plus the ability to route your signal through it's 12AX7 tube (which can be blended into your dry signal). Use it to simply round out the edges or really push things into distortion if that's your bag.

Equally popular as a bass DI and great for running synths through. A little bit of analog in a digital world! I loved being able to crank the input gain beyond acceptable limits, blending in some tube distortion, and then temper the output level going into my DAW.
