Yamaha Steve Jordan Custom Cocktail Kit

Up for auction is a used Yamaha Steve Jordan signature Cocktail (Club) Kit in excellent condition. I got this rig for a specific project that worked on paper at the time, but logistically was unable to accommodate the ensuing changes that arose.

The kit is a 15”x24” kick/floor tom, a 10”x5” rack tom, an 8”x5” snare, and all the required hardware (just add cymbals and you are off and running). Included are the gig bags - I carried another bag for the legs/pedal, since they were too long/bulky to fit properly in the big bag compartment. The hardware includes the legs, mounts, cymbal mounts, kick pedal mount, and kick pedal (reversed pearl cam to kick up when depressed). I tried to capture it from all sides for each drum.

I had replaced the internal snare strainer on the 15x24 with a muffle arm, but I have included the original snare arm to provide the choice of muffling or snares on the 15"x24" tom top batter head.

These drums sound great, and I tried a few options on the bottom (kick) head to play with degrees of muffling/openness (heads, cotton balls, adjustable snare weights, etc.). Lots of possibilities!!

To me, the 8” snare is the part that surprised me the most: Awesome sounding, especially for it's size!!

This is easy to tune, full of warmth, and fun to play.
