Up for sale is a killer 1984 Fender Jazz Bass, made in the USA during Fender’s highly regarded early-1980s Dan Smith era, finished in classic Olympic White and carrying an E3-series serial number.
This vintage Jazz Bass features an alder body, comfortable C-shaped neck, traditional 4-bolt construction, and weighs 9 lbs 5 oz. Decades of genuine playing have given the Olympic White finish plenty of authentic vintage character, including dents, scratches, edge wear, and areas where the finish has worn through to the wood.
It comes complete with its original Fender molded hard-shell case.

This bass displays genuine age and playing wear, including typical dents, scratches, finish wear, and cosmetic marks.
There are areas along the body edges where the finish has worn through and exposed the wood underneath. There is also a small dent with finish chipping along the lower bass-side edge of the body.
The pickguard has a few extra screw holes, which should be clearly disclosed to collectors.
The frets are in great shape, and the instrument retains tons of authentic early-1980s Fender character.
