Tone King Metropolitan Half Stack (Head & Cab) circa 2011 (Rare!)

Up for auction is a very rare Tone King Metropolitan Half Stack (Head and 1x12 Cab in near mint condition). Aside from stunning looks on stage and phenomenal sound, its also one of the lightest stage ready half stacks ever made. The head weighs in at mere 32 lbs, 4 ounces and the cabinet at 27 lbs, 13 ounces. It’s perfect if you can afford roadies but is just as easy to cart even if you can’t! The cab also features a Tone King 8 Ohm speaker that was custom designed specifically for this amp by Mark Bartell.

In my opinion this is the best sounding and most flexible amp Bartell ever made. It’s rhythm/clean channel has all of the chime of a vintage Fender Blackface and the lead channel takes you from a 50’s Fender Tweed to an 80’s Marshall. It comes with the Tone King Custom Foot Switch for channel and reverb. This one is serial # 800-270, built 10/18/2011.

The Tone King Metropolitan Head features the ability to scale the power from 1-40 watts allowing for the same tube driven sound at bedroom levels as on stage. It will ship with 4 newly installed EH 6V6GT power tubes and four newly installed JJ 12AX7 preamp tubes. It also features a 5AR4 rectifier tube and a 12 AT7 reverb driver for the 3-spring tube driven reverb. The amp provides a warm resonance with a lovely midrange chime and three-dimensional sound.

This combination of TKM head and cab almost never comes up so grab it while you can.😊
