Here for sale is a very rare 80s vintage Italian disco synthesizer the Solton Programmer 24s. The USA version. If you havent done your reasearch on this machine I can tell you what ive read so far. The s model is the usa model and does not have the 2 synths buttons like the eu version, instead you get a clear button, so you only can use a saw wave when using the 1 synth or piano, and not the accompanying square wave synth. The 2 sliders for accordian/ and guitar/brass doesnt do anything unless you have the footpedal, which I dont. All the sounds play in the factory presets. There is no headphone jack so an amplifier is recommended for the stereo out.
Its listed "non-functioning" because I cannot guarantee it will work after it is shipped. It is old heavy and sold as is, dont ask me questions after you buy it, I repeat THIS IS SOLD FOR PARTS AS IS AND NO GUARANTEE IT WILL WORK. NO RETURNS!
Things I noticed, when you first turn it on there is a small temporary static noise then it goes away, im assuming this is just the CPU booting up. The stereo out has ground noise when using a headphones and I belive this is because it is line level and not grounded, like the individual outs, so a powered mixer or amp will work best with it.
Missing 3 slider knobs.
It does turn on and all keys seem to work as well as the buttons as far as I know. There is a linndrum eprom for the drums.
The battery has been replaced with a new lithium battery and has 2 wire connectors plastic nuts holding it in as well as velcro to hold in place. I will probably take the battery out before shipping so it doesn't roll around inside if there's a chance that can happen. If you would like me not to, please specify that before I ship it.
This will be professionally wrapped and shipped out, you the buyer will pay for shipping. I would prefer not to ship.
If you have any questions feel free to ask me before buying. Im thinking of keeping just because its such a cool lucrative synth.
