Up for sale is a Marshall 1960AV "Vintage" 4x12 angled speaker cabinet in excellent working condition, loaded with a professionally installed mixed Celestion speaker configuration.

The cabinet retains two of its original Marshall/Celestion G12 Vintage speakers and has two Celestion G12T-75 speakers in the other positions. The G12T-75s were professionally installed by a Marshall-authorized service shop.

• 2 × Celestion G12T-75 speakers – professionally installed by a Marshall-authorized service shop

The cabinet originally left the factory with four G12 Vintage speakers. Two of those original speakers remain installed. The other two were replaced with G12T-75s and were sold years ago.

The resulting 2+2 configuration combines two classic Celestion voices in the same cabinet rather than using four identical speakers.

Condition & History

Functionally, the cabinet is in excellent condition. The speakers, input connections, switching, and cabinet are all working properly.

Cosmetically, the tolex shows some road wear and character. I purchased the cabinet approximately 14 years ago, and most of the cosmetic wear was already present at that time. It has been babied ever since and has seen essentially no road use during my ownership.

The only time the cabinet has left my setup during those 14 years was for a visit to a Marshall-authorized service shop, where the two G12T-75 speakers were professionally installed and the cabinet's connections were checked and tightened.

In other words, this cabinet looks more road-traveled than it actually has been during my ownership. I have made no attempt to disguise or repair the scratches and tolex wear; please review the photos carefully for its exact cosmetic condition.

Mechanically and electrically, it has been carefully maintained and remains in excellent working order.

This is a solid, great-working Marshall 1960AV for someone who values the classic Marshall 4x12 construction, two of its original UK-made G12 Vintage speakers, and the professionally installed mixed-Celestion configuration more than pristine tolex.
