For sale is a pristine Castagnari Dony diatonic button accordion, custom-ordered and built in February 2026. Featuring 2.5 rows on the treble side, this configuration offers full chromatic flexibility via 5 accidental/reversal buttons alongside the standard G/C layout.

Built with a solid walnut casing, Castagnari’s signature open grille, and hand-made tipo a mano reeds, this is a rare chance to skip the 5+ month wait and avoid import hassles for a practically new instrument.

G/C Treble: 26 buttons across 2.5 rows Bass: 12 buttons Tuning: Dry "American Swing" tuning Bass Modification: Thirds in the basses have been professionally taped. The instrument is in flawless functional shape. All notes speak crisp and clean across every button, valve, and reed. The wax and valves are still in brand new condition from the factory, and the bellows are tight with zero air loss.

Cosmetically, the walnut casing is in beautiful condition throughout, the only mark/blemish I'm aware of is slight rubbing marks on the top back edge of the treble keyboard box where the leather straps rest in the case (highlighted in the final photo).

I love the action and build of this Castagnari, but I'm ultimately looking for a traditional wet tuning with significant tremolo. The dry American swing voice doesn't suit my personal style, so I am letting it go to a player who wants a modern, dry-tuned continental box.
