Schertler Unico X Acoustic Guitar Amplifier

Up for sale, a Schertler Unico X acoustic amplifier in showroom-clean condition and in perfect working order. This compact, portable five-channel acoustic amplifier is essentially a PA in disguise; designed to deliver a clean, accurate sound with exceptional tonal sculpting control and overall versatility, perfect for stage and studio usage alike.

Featuring 280W output, in combination with a biamplified system, Schertler “guarantees total transparency, harmonically rich sound and full low frequency control (down to 40 Hz).” Sound is delivered by a ten-inch woofer and a one-inch-dome tweeter. The amp is split in two, with 230W feeding the woofer and 50W powering the tweeter. Quoted frequency response is 40Hz to 20kHz, with an operating voltage of 120V (60 Hz). Weighing just under 37lbs, it’s exceptionally portable, and also features an onboard spring-type digital reverb with decay for additional lush tones.

The five channels include Instrument In, Mic In/Instrument In, Mic In, Stereo In, and FX Return/Audio Input Loop. The mic and instrument channels have independent controls including Gain, a three-band EQ, Reverb, and Volume knobs, and the Stereo In section features a ⅛” stereo jack for seamless blending of backing tracks through the master channel volume. The FX Return/Audio Input Loop channel has dual XLR/1/4” left and right jacks with a dedicated Volume knob, and the Master section includes DI and Line outs, as well as an Insert for use with an effects loop. Between the five channels and the Master section, the Unico X is notably flexible and can easily dial in any desired tones.

The unit sports a handsome wood enclosure, and the control panel is recessed into the top to prevent accidental adjustments. This Unico is in fantastic shape, with barely a mark on the enclosure. The knobs are all present, the graphics are pristine, the speaker grill and badge are flawless, and the handle is made of premium leather.
