Up for sale is an absolute cult piece of equipment for tube enthusiasts and serious builders: an original AVO CT 160 Valve Tester / Tube Checker in the legendary military version. This highly precise measuring instrument was built to the extremely strict specifications of the British military and the Royal Air Force, and due to its ingenious Wheatstone bridge principle, it remains one of the most accurate tools available for testing tubes under real operating conditions. What makes this particular unit special is that it is an honest, unfiltered working tool with real history: the device is fully functional and ready to use, so you can immediately begin testing and matching your valuable tubes. Cosmestically, the rugged metal enclosure has picked up its fair share of dings, dents, and scratches over the decades in active service, giving the unit a character-rich vintage patina without compromising its inner precision. An important and honest note regarding the analog display instrument: the fine pointer needle is slightly bent at the very tip, but the meter itself works perfectly smooth, deflects accurately, and does not affect readability or functionality in any way. All mechanical selector switches operate with a defined, positive click, and the entire system stands ready to reliably grade your tubes. Because this is a highly sensitive precision instrument, it will be packed with the utmost care, in double-box, and shipped worldwide .
