The Keeley Manis takes the legendary K-style overdrive platform and expands it with additional clipping options, enhanced low-end response, and flexible power and bypass configurations. From transparent boosting and lightly driven rhythm tones to thick saturation and singing sustain, the Manis delivers familiar overdrive character with considerably more tonal flexibility.

At the heart of the pedal are premium germanium clipping diodes that provide the clear, organic response and subtle midrange emphasis associated with classic K-style overdrive. Use lower Drive settings to push the front end of your amplifier while retaining the character of your guitar, or increase the gain for richer overdrive and sustain.

The Manis adds a second clipping option using vintage Cold War-era germanium transistors in place of the traditional germanium diodes. Switching to this mode produces thicker saturation, increased sustain, and a lively response designed to capture some of the dynamic feel of a driven tube amplifier.

Keeley also adds a Bass+ mode for players who want more weight from their overdrive. Engaging Bass+ provides an additional 3dB boost while shifting the frequency response downward by an octave, creating a fuller and more substantial sound. It can be especially useful for adding body to bright or vintage-style single-coil pickups.

The Manis uses a voltage-doubled hard-clipping design and can also be powered at 18 volts for increased headroom and a more open response. Selectable true-bypass or buffered-bypass operation allows the pedal to adapt easily to different pedalboards and signal chains.
