Vintage Martin Style 3M Soprano Ukulele 1930’s Mahogany - rare, great condition

Up for sale is an incredibly rare, transitional Martin Style 3M Soprano Ukulele (circa 1935–1937). This unique pre-war instrument blends premium vintage appointments with factory-original specification changes made just before WWII. Selling off some of my Martin inventory to pay for some new gear!

Playability & Tone:

• Exceptional Performance: This ukulele plays really well, sounds incredible, and holds its tune and pitch consistently throughout the entire fretboard. It has the crisp, resonant, and punchy projection that only premium, aged pre-war Martin mahogany can deliver.

Key Features:

• Pre-War Specs: Features the iconic 5-ply top binding, center-stripe fretboard purfling, and the celluloid "parend" tail shield at the bottom edge.
• Transitional Fretboard: Equipped from the 1930's Martin factory with simple white dot inlays instead of standard pearl diamonds.
• Un-Modded Headstock: Authentic gold C.F. Martin decal with original patent friction tuners (no extra screw holes or modern conversions, such as hex nuts or newer 1940's150's tuners).

Condition Profile:

• Structure: Structurally excellent, 100% solid, and completely crack-free. The neck is straight with low, comfortable action and a tight heel joint.
• Finish & Wear: Beautifully aged original lacquer finish with gorgeous finish checking. Displays honest cosmetic player wear, including a minor surface scratches on the sides, bottom, and a texturized patch of lacquer wear on the back from a historic tape adhesive reaction.

Included with the Ukulele:

• Modern, highly protective archtop hardshell case (with my travel stickers).
• I can also include the original textured cardboard circa 1930's case (which has minimal wear).
