Vintage circa-1978 Tama Imperialstar 12" x 15" concert tom in the original Jet Black finish, made in Japan.
Classic late-1970s Imperialstar construction featuring a 9-ply mahogany shell, Zola-Coat interior and reinforcing ring at the batter/headed side of the shell. This is a single-headed concert tom with the open bottom typical of Tama's concert toms from this era.
The drum retains its original Tama badge, vintage Tama hardware, hoop, lugs and tom mounting bracket.
The drum has been completely disassembled, carefully cleaned and polished, and reassembled. The Jet Black finish retains a beautiful deep gloss, and the chrome hardware is in very nice condition for its age.
The finish does show normal cosmetic wear from use, including various light scratches, scuffs and some tom rash. There are also a few deeper marks that will remain. Overall, the wrap presents very nicely for a nearly 50-year-old drum. Please see photos for the cosmetic condition.
Aquarian Classic Clear drumhead installed.
