Here's a piece of Mid-Century Americana—two genuine Noble & Cooley Toy Tom Toms dating from the 1960s to the early 1970s. One floor tom and a rack tom.  The small one is a 7x9; the floor tom is 11x12. They aren't from the same set; but they are both vintage Noble and Cooley. You can really play them. They are real drums, but they're still light weight toys. They both have modern Mylar batter heads; the smaller one has a paper (Manila folder) resonant head, which has a couple of small tears which don't affect playability. The big one has a Mylar resonant head. They have the classic N&C spring tension lugs. The smaller one has a mount, but the mount won't attach to the floor tom. The toms feature classic rolled tin-lithograph shells finished in a beautiful, vibrant red and steel hoops. It comes complete with its original slender steel wire legs and features the signature Noble & Cooley spring-tension hoop system. The original, silver-and-black oval paper foil badge is fully intact on the side of the shell, proudly displaying "Noble & Cooley - Made in U.S.A. - Est. 1854".

Henry Nelson Luthiery stuff might cost more than other listings, but we think it's worth it. We're not going anywhere. We stand behind our gear. We do research and accurate descriptions. We test our stuff and usually do restoration work; sometimes light, sometimes intense (read our item descriptions for details). I'm an experienced luthier and I use traditional techniques and materials: hide glue and nitrocellulose lacquer. I even make my own French polish and shellac from scratch. In addition, our vintage gear holds its value, unlike new stuff. We have a no-hassle return policy. The return shipping is on you, but the item price and shipping to you is refunded. Simply return it in the same condition in a timely manner.
