Fantastic player-grade 1958 Fender Telecaster with a January 1958 pencil-dated neck, late-1957 electronics and serial #024740. Beautiful blonde poly refin done professionally by Fiesta Finishes in 2010 over a one-piece ash body with a one-piece maple neck and a fantastic, strong vintage V profile. Approx. 7.4 lbs.

Original components include the pots, switch, jack, capacitor, tuners, saddles, control plate, switch plate, neck plate and one knob. Pot codes are 304-748 (48th week of 1957). Original pickups were professionally rewound by Lindy Fralin.

The guitar has been refretted and has a new nut. Tuners were changed at one point and the holes subsequently doweled/restored for the originals. There is a repaired tuner crack near the low-E tuner. Decal, pickguard, one knob and strap buttons are reproductions. Bridge plate is stamped “PAT. PEND.” with additional numbers of unknown origin. Recent Fender form-fit tweed case included.
This is not a collector-grade, untouched example—it's a genuine late-'50s Telecaster with honest modifications and repairs that is meant to be played. It plays exceptionally well and delivers exactly what you'd want from a great vintage Tele.
