Up for auction is a Victoria 518 5-watt, hand-wired tube guitar amp in near mint condition. It’s considered to be the best reproduction of the 1950s Fender 5F1 Champ made today. This particular amp looks and sounds pretty much as it did when it came from the Victoria factory except the stock Jensen has been upgraded to a Jupiter 8SC (which many think is the best sounding speaker for this amp). The Jupiter gives the amp a firmer, tighter bass response and a punchier sound. It also makes it sound significantly larger than one might expect.
The amp provides exceptional touch-sensitive dynamics, with beautiful tweed sounding clean tones at lower volumes and that famous tweed champ grind when pushed. It’s phenomenal studio recording tool, is perfect for home or apartment use and sounds great live in smaller venues or when mic’d through a PA.
