Selling my Truth Custom Drums 14x7 maple snare, built sometime in the 2000s.

This is a substantial, thick multi-ply maple shell with a natural finish and chrome hardware. It has an extremely warm, punchy sound with tons of body. The 7” depth gives it a big, full tone while still having plenty of attack and presence.

The drum is in very good overall condition for its age. The shell and hardware present very well. There is some cosmetic peeling/flaking on the throw-off, which I’ve tried to represent accurately in the photos. Otherwise, I haven’t noticed any significant cosmetic or functional issues.

Currently fitted with an Evans UV-series batter head.

Specs:

  • 14” × 7”
  • Thick multi-ply maple shell
  • Natural maple finish
  • Chrome hardware
  • 10 lugs
  • Truth Custom Drums badge
  • Evans batter head
  • Approximately 2000s production

I’m not the original owner, so I don’t know the exact year or original build specifications.

$500 + shipping. Open to reasonable offers.

I’d probably categorize the condition as Very Good, not Excellent, because of the peeling on the throw-off. I also wouldn’t guess the exact ply count in the listing—“thick multi-ply maple shell” is safer unless you count the plies from the bearing edge.
