Here for sale we have a Fender Aerodyne Special 100DMC Electric Guitar in Flame Amber finish. Crafted in Japan between 2006-08, this guitar features a 2-piece Alder body with Maple top, Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include 6-point vintage-style tremolo bridge and vintage-style tuning machines. A pair of DiMarzio Heavy Drive DCS-2 single coils are fitted and wired to a 5-way pickup selector, master volume, neck tone and middle tone.

The 'Oval' neck profile sits comfortably in the hand, offering a tailored playing surface which enhances thumb positioning up and down the neck. The 9.84” provides maximum hand comfort for chords whilst allowing for more technically demanding playing styles. The double cutaway body design allows for unobstructed access to the higher register, whilst generous body contours provide comfort when playing in a seated position.

The trio of DiMarzio Heavy Drive DCS-2 Single-Coil pickups in this guitar provide all of the chime and articulation that made the Stratocaster a legendary instrument. Crystalline and bell-like, the pickups provide a crisp and clear tone with plenty of the spank that you would expect from a Strat. Understated lows give way to a smooth mid range and singing high frequencies that will cut through any mix, with a higher output than typical single coil pickups allowing you to really push those overdriven tones. The standard Stratocaster control layout is as functional as ever, offering comprehensive control of your sound without being intrusive.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the edges of the headstock, the most apparent of these can be seen to the rear face edge opposite the B tuning machine as well as to the top edge.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, the most apparent of these being in the center, these can be felt in the playing position. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been lightly polished to a Gloss texture through past use.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching, indentations and scuff markings, the most apparent indentation can be seen to the rear face treble side edge near the waist, this has broken the finish exposing the wood beneath. Lighter indentations are scattered throughout the rear face and near the input jack to the front face. The most apparent scratching can be located to the rear face treble side horn, all scratching can only be seen under direct light.  

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Mild tarnishing and oxidation is present to the bridge saddles consistent with past use. Lighter tarnishing is present to the tuning machines. Mild fine scratching is present to the pickguard, these can only be seen under direct light. Tremolo arm included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
