Vintage AKG C451e FET pencil condenser with a CK1 cardioid capsule.
Body is marked C 451 E — this is the 1970s modular 451, not the later C451B. Cardioid SDC for acoustic guitar, overheads, hi-hat, piano, and strings.
The C451 CMS system was a broadcast and studio standard through the 1970s. Fast transient response and a clear top end made these a go-to for drum overheads, acoustic guitar, and hi-hat, and a lot of engineers still prefer the original FET bodies over the later C451B.
