Sansui 800 Vintage Stereo Receiver – New LED Lamps/No FM – Tested

Offered here is a classic Sansui 800 stereo receiver, an early solid-state receiver renowned for its warm, musical sound and timeless Japanese craftsmanship.

This receiver has been tested and produces clean, powerful audio through its amplifier section. The controls and switches have been cleaned with DeoxIT for smooth operation, and new LED dial lamps have been installed, giving the receiver a fresh, bright appearance while improving dial visibility.

Please note: The FM tuner does not stations. The audio is static/distorted and the stereo indicator does not operate correctly. The FM tuner/MPX decoder will require service or alignment to restore proper stereo FM operation.

Aside from the FM tuner issue, the receiver performs well and would make an excellent restoration candidate or everyday amplifier for AUX, Tape, or Phono use. Both channels work great, and no static on knobs.

🧱 Cosmetic Condition

Good overall cosmetic condition with normal signs of age and use. The faceplate, knobs, and cabinet present well, and the new LED lighting gives the receiver an attractive modern appearance while preserving its vintage character.
