Series 500 Module Multi Diode Clipper - Variable Level Blend

Sale is for a prototype 500 series dual channel clipper unit like the small desktop versions we have been selling.  White fronted panel which is a dual slot size.  Very larger heavy duty transformers fitted.  Custom made in England Neve Carnhill style

A totally passive unit which you then plug into any gain stage for make-up gain loss. The level controls adjust the signal hitting the diodes for a sort of blend/drive fine tune control 

1. Diodes off 
2. Vintage Germanium diodes  -  Classic very rounded signal and huge crunch/clip at lower levels
3. Shottkey diodes - Very similar to the Germanium but with a faster speed
4. Silicon diodes for a more modern squarer sound
5. LED requiring a higher level to trigger the "threshold"
6. Diodes off 

Hard bypass also fitted
In the off positions the transformers are in the signal path giving a high quality transformer colour unit.  So works as both transformer and diode clipper  

The idea here is to "change" and colour signals. Each unit we build will have unique specs and workings so a great way of getting unique changes to recordings.  These are designed to handle quite high levels before maxing out so can sound very clean too and are also perfect as hum eliminator and balanced to unbalanced, unbalanced to balanced convertors
