Sabian 20" Paragon Diamondback China Cymbal - 2011 - Excellent Condition (Single Owner)

Description:

This cymbal is in excellent (near pristine) condition. I am the original and sole owner of this cymbal. It has been exceptionally well cared for in my smoke free, temperature and humidity controlled studio with the exception of the occasional gig or recording session where it was called for (less than a dozen). I play with a somewhat light, jazz influenced touch, so no hard hitting. When not in use, it's been carefully stored in a hard-shell cymbal vault with desiccant packs on shelves in my studio storage room.

Designed in collaboration with Neil Peart for Rush’s Snakes & Arrows album, the Diamondback is one of Sabian's most unique effect cymbals. It pairs a thin, responsive B20 bronze China body with 4 factory-installed tambourine jingles mounted on industrial cotter pins and 4 sizzle rivets placed around the flange. The result is an incredible hybrid character: a trashy, explosive attack that transitions into a lingering, smoky, wispy sizzle—perfect for low-volume riding, complex accents, and studio recording.

It's hard to part with this cymbal, but I am now semi-retired from music and I no longer use it enough to justify keeping it. A magnificent cymbal like this should be played and enjoyed, so I am listing it.

Condition:

• Absolutely 100% solid. No cracks, no keyholing, no flea bites, and no edge dings.
• All 4 factory jingles, cotter pins, and rivets are intact and original.
• Original logos are fully intact and crisp. Only micro-stick marks. Never polished or harsh-cleaned regularly wiped down and occasionally carefully washed with mild dish detergent.
