Vintage Gibson Firebird I model guitar from 1964 in great shape for the age. Less than 500 were produced in this year with this one being an early model with factory holes for a smaller style vibrola tailpiece and potentiometers dating to 1963. Unfortunately the previous owner moved the vibrola tailpiece back which resulted in two unoriginal extra holes. The finish is original with honest wear and there are no cracks or repairs. The original mini humbucker pick-up is strong and sounds incredible. This guitar plays extremely well and is a killer example of Gibson‘s golden era of manufacturing in Kalamazoo. The original case is in fair shape with all latches in working condition. It will be packed with care.
