Up for sale is a good condition, wonderful sounding Revive Audio Modified DBX 128 that sounds incredible, is in very good shape for its age (see pics for better details).
Comes with a full 1-year warranty.
The service includes: Burr Brown input and output stage modification, PSU upgrade, complete re-cap of all the electrolytic capacitors and cleaning of all electro-mechanical pots and switches.
So the mods:
Burr Brown Opamps were put in to replace the old 4558's in both the input and output stages.
All of the electrolytic's were replaced with high quality upgrades.
Audio Coupling and noise reduction modifications.
A PSU modification with bypassing for the lowest possible noise.
The Burr Brown modification on these units in conjunction with the re-cap just makes these units sound warm, large, dynamic and musical.
It can best be described as being: Warmer, with broader frequency response, increased headroom and a better three dimensional image.
It has been professionally modified by our tech and given the seal of approval to go to work at you home or in your studio.
These are fantastic sounding units and are a highly desired piece of vintage gear.
