Gorgeous Fender Excelsior, if you know you know. This is the sleeper amp that everyone loves. In 2012-3 made this 13w amp with 15" speaker. The stock speaker in them is not great, but this one has the upgraded Eminence 1518 that came with the Pro version of the Excelsior, which makes all the difference. It's loud, sweet, and pure.

This one has all new tubes and caps, and has been biased so it sounds perfect. Every component has been gone over, and it's been meticulously upgraded, and is in absolutely pristine and robust condition. I've also had this amp modded in several ways that make it far more usable as a recording and gigging amp, as you can see from the controls. The Tone switch has been turned into a sweepable knob, which is obviously way better (that's a typical mod for this amp). Also, the tremolo has been modded to expand its range, and also from just one knob to two, speed and depth which is also of course way more useful.

Finally, there is a switch on the left to choose whether you want to eliminate the negative feedback in the amp. Fender amps traditionally have negative feedback, which basically means that they take half of the power out of the circuit and feed it back into the amp, so that it stays cleaner and purer. This is a great sound, but if you let the amp go without doing that, it can sound raw and tweed-y and nastier. It's awesome to have this option on a switch so you can choose. It gives the amp enormous range.

Anyway, this amp is a killer! I love it, it's great for rehearsal, small gigs, recording. It's pretty danged loud when it needs to be but sounds great at lower volumes. I just have so many amps and need to clear out a little space.
