Serpent Audio SB4000 Bus Compressor Kit SSL Style

This is a kit to build a Serpent Audio SB4000 Bus Compressor. The first picture is stock to show what a completed unit would look like. The kit I am offering is about is about 65% assembled. What you see in the last 2 pictures is what you will receive.

When finished, you will have a Bus Compressor on par with the best ones offered. I have all of the documentation saved, which I can forward.

The resistors, dry capacitors, trimmers, connectors, sockets, and control panel have been populated. The VCA's, Op amps, and power supply board have not been populated. Also, if you want to go the extra mile for authenticity, you can install vintage DBX 202C VCA's for the audio on this board and just use the That 2181's in the side chain.

You will need about $140 in parts to complete it.

*1ma 20db Meter which can be purchased at Hairball Audio, 5534 and 5532 op amps, 4xThat 2181c VCA's, Toroidal power transformer, IEC socket, panel mount XLR's, TL072 and TL074 op amps.
