The Mesa Boogie V-Twin is a dual-channel tube preamp pedal built around two 12AX7 tubes. It gives you a Clean/Blues channel and a dedicated Solo channel, each with its own footswitch. The right footswitch toggles between channels while the left footswitch bypasses the circuit entirely when running into a guitar amp. Rear panel jacks include a Mixer/Headphones output with speaker simulation, a Power Amp output, and a Guitar Amp output.

Controls are straightforward: Gain, Master, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Presence. A small switch next to the Mixer output lets you select between full-range and speaker-simulated signals. The pedal runs on a standard 9V supply but draws more current than most stompboxes due to the tube circuitry.
