For the consideration of serious collector / players, here's a very nice 1969 Les Paul Custom of the 1 piece ( non sandwich ) body, 3 piece non-volute and no 'made in USA' marking neck variety.
It’s a nice unmolested piece with original frets that show in my opinion well below average wear. It weighs 4.434 Kg or 9.78 lbs. I was actually convinced this guitar was well under 9 pounds until I weighed it. It’s got a sweet set of original patent sticker humbuckers that read out at a nicely matched
Neck - 7.87 ohms
Bridge - 7.94 ohms
Solder joints are all untouched and completely virgin. One pot date that can be read is 29th week of 1969. It currently has Schaller strap pins on it but comes with its originals as well. Very good condition overall - check out the pictures for better detail! No breaks, no repairs, some wear and tear as shown, a bit of worming in the finish... no modifications, everything original and present except the strings!
I think it’s safe to say if you’re looking for a late 60s Les Paul Custom you will not find a nicer more legitimate example especially at this price point. Also comes in its original deluxe rectangle case.
I should add that the guitar plays great, feels great, looks great and the pickups sound as good as one would expect from such an iconic guitar.
Truly an enjoyable investment piece that will yield a far better return over time than putting your money in the boring old bank at virtually no interest.
Thanks for looking!
