This is a Deering Classic Goodtime II, 5-string resonator banjo. It's got a dark brown stain and planetary tuning machines, differentiating it from the standard blonde Goodtime series.
I integrated a Kavanjo magnetic pickup system (installed by a professional), converting it into an acoustic-electric hybrid and has been great for live gigging or direct-injection tracking. The installation of the Kavanjo system is fully reversible - no permanent structural alterations, drilling, or routing were performed on the wooden rim.
