This setup was built because I fell in love with the Tascam 388 and wanted a more modular, higher quality tape version. Both the Tascam 38 and M308B have been well maintained, with no issues. Includes a bunch of 1/2” tapes I’ve accumulated over the years, and extra take up reels. The 38 has a RC-71 remote control, and a set of brand new rack ears still in the box I purchased from Tascam Ninja. Heads are in great condition, have had no problems with volume or dropouts. The M308B mixing board is the exact same as the 388 mixing section and is awesome because it has switchable phantom power for every channel, something you will not find on its related counterparts. Includes TONS of rainbow 8-channel snakes. (Insert snakes, 1/4 inch snakes, rca snakes). Both machines can be linked together fairly easily with a couple snakes but I wired a patchbay in between so I could insert hardware onto each channel, or as effects for the mixer. A fully analog standalone music making beast of gear. Will be very sad to say goodbye, but I’m downsizing my music studio into a smaller space. Let me know if you have any questions I’m happy to answer them! The UV light on one channel of the M308B is out, easy replacement, I may even get it done by the time it sells. I would prefer local pickup, but shipping could be arranged. Before purchasing for shipping I would ask that you send address so I can get a shipping estimate. Thanks for looking!
