Lawo V970/3 vintage line level amplifiers x 10 with Pikatron transformers as in Tab, Filtek, Siemens, Telefunken modules etc.

For sale this vintage 19” format rack with 10 Lawo line amplifiers “made in Germany”. This rack is fitted with 10 x sequentially numbered V970/3 line amp modules designed around Pikatron transformers. These are high quality amplifiers made to function in a broadcast or music studio environment where there was need to distribute line level signals. They can be used on a plethora of different sources, some people use them as mic preamps. Lawo V970/3 has a 6 step gain stage with up to 30dB amplification and a additional 6dB trimpot. Output can be connected to 3 locations, one output at +6dBm and 2 outputs at +9dBm (+15dBm when the latter 2 are connected sequentially). The rack is wired for 10 x V970/3 module and needs central 24v DC and individual XLR I/O to get up and running. The rack has been but cut off at the central loom when decommissioned (it is "as is" and not plug and play). All modules have been tested and are fully functional, their potmeters are in excellent condition considering their age. The modules have not been recapped they are in vintage condition. This rack is available for a highly competitive price when you compare them with other “big boy line amps” like Neve, Api etc. I have the technical Lawo sheet available with pinout but I do not have the schematics for this type of card. There is some discoloration to be seen on the front panels caused by removed stickers. The single module on the photos is not in the rack but serves the role as example module, all modules in the rack are identical. Contact me for details or if you have additional questions.
