Up for sale is a legendary Roland Super JD-990 Synthesizer Module, widely regarded as one of the finest digital rack synths Roland ever produced. Known for its gorgeous, lush pads, sharp filters, and pristine fidelity, the JD-990 outperforms its predecessor (the JD-800) with unmatched structural flexibility, including ring modulation, oscillator sync, and frequency cross-modulation.

This particular unit comes pre-loaded with the definitive Roland SR-JV80-04 Vintage Synth Expansion Board already installed. When dropped into a JD-990, this board adds 255 classic waveforms and unlocks a special set of 256 custom patches optimized exclusively for the JD-990’s superior architecture. You get instant access to the definitive sounds of the Jupiter series, Juno, Minimoog, Prophet-5, and Oberheim modules right out of the box.

Condition & Technical Verification

• Functional State: Fully tested and 100% operational. The unit cleanly boots up into its system test mode showing firmware version 1.00, as shown.
• Expansion Board: Fully recognized and verified by the system architecture. As seen in the pictures, the startup display confirms the module is "EXPANDED To 14Mbyte" and correctly registers the SR-JV80-04 Synth board. Physical confirmation of the expansion board is shown through the open hatch in the photos.
• Cosmetic Condition: Good overall condition with minor rack wear typical of a studio-kept vintage rack piece. The screen is bright and legible. All front panel buttons, data dials, and sliders respond well.
