Selmer TS500 Tenor Saxophone – Near Mint Condition, Recently Serviced, Priced to Sell, Ready to Play

This is a really nice Selmer TS500 tenor saxophone in near mint condition. It was just recently professionally serviced and it plays incredibly well. The tone is rich, full, and centered with a warm core that really opens up as you push it. It’s perfectly in tune across the entire range, the keys are perfectly regulated, the pads are perfectly leveled with no air leaks whatsoever, and the springs are extra snappy and responsive. Everything feels tight, even, and free-blowing from low Bb all the way up. It just wants to play.

The action is light and quick without feeling spongy, and the horn responds cleanly even when you’re playing soft or digging in harder. There’s a nice evenness through the registers that makes it easy to get around on, and it doesn’t fight you in the upper end or the low end. Cosmetically the horn is very clean overall with only a few light scratches and scuffs on the backside from normal handling. The front side looks excellent and there are no dents or anything structural to note. It looks and feels like a well-maintained instrument that was never abused or neglected.
