À propos de cette annonce
Up for sale, a 1976 Fender Bassman 10 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, loaded with a quad of Oxford 10J4 speakers. Comparable to the Bassman 50 head in terms of power and design, the Bassman 10 has the classic, lightly compressed sound of the earlier Bassman models, with modest headroom before pushing into smooth tube overdrive at around 4 on the Volume dial. The channels are individually voiced (Bass/Normal and Bass/Studio), with the first channel having a Deep switch and overall darker tonal character with more limited EQ sweep, while the second channel covers a much wider frequency range in terms of EQ and also has the added bonus of a Midrange knob. The tone is classic Fender chime, with a clean sound that sparkles and is the perfect platform for an array of effects pedals. The circuit is extremely original, retaining both of the original Schumacher-made transformers, with date codes translating to the 34th week of ‘73 and 2nd week of ‘74. The original CTS pots are present, with a visible date code from the 26th week of ‘73, and the power supply has been professionally recapped with fresh electrolytic capacitors to ensure optimal performance. The bias supply cap has also been replaced, and the tube complement includes a matched pair of properly biased JJ 6L6GC power tubes, with JJ and Groove Tubes valves in the preamp. The speakers are the original quartet of ceramic magnet Oxford 10J4s, with a stickered date codes that translates to the 14th week of 1976. The tube chart is also intact inside the cabinet. The amp retains its original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with blue stripe, with modest wear on the enclosure edges. The faceplate retains clean silkscreen graphics, with its full set of witch hat knobs.
