Drawmer Signature Series – S3 Stereo Tube Multiband Compressor (One Owner)

Up for sale is my Drawmer S3 from the prestigious Signature Series. I purchased it brand new in 2014 and it has been a centerpiece in my mastering studio ever since. The original retail price was around €6,250.00. This price reflects the extreme value retention and rarity of this high-end machine.To be clear: This is not a tool for beginners. It requires experience, both in operation and in understanding the unique care this high-tech unit demands.What I love most about this compressor is its incredibly musical character. It adds weight, depth, and vibrant life to any material, and the independent processing of the three frequency bands allows for highly precise sonic shaping. I am only selling it due to a studio workflow overhaul that now strictly requires total recall.

History and Current Condition (Please read carefully):
I am the original and sole owner. Following a tube failure and subsequent heat-related damage, the unit was sent directly to Drawmer in 2016 for a full factory overhaul. The official repair documentation is included. After the service, the S3 ran flawlessly and reliably for years.

• Important Technical Note: Currently, there are level/sonic discrepancies between the left and right channels. For critical mastering applications, the unit will need to be checked by a professional technician, recalibrated, or potentially require a fresh set of tubes. Since I do not have a current diagnostic report or repair estimate, the unit is sold as-is with this known service requirement.

Important Note on the Top Cover & Thermal Management:
The weak spot of this specific model is its massive internal heat generation. To ensure proper ventilation in a professional rack setup—as recommended by the manufacturer and common practice among pro users—this unit was operated without its top cover.

Therefore, the top metal cover plate is missing and is not included in the sale.

Pro-Tip: If you decide to source a replacement cover, it is highly recommended not to run the compressor for more than 3 to 4 hours continuously without giving it at least an hour to cool down. Periodically swapping the tubes from left to right every two years also helps extend their lifespan significantly.
