Up for sale is a highly desirable, rare vintage Premier Outfit 58 (Compact 58) 3-piece shell pack from around 1968. This is a classic "transition era" kit that features the absolute holy grail of vintage drum woods: thin 3-ply African Mahogany shells with solid beech reinforcement rings. If you are looking for that ultra-deep, warm, and dark vintage jazz/rock/R&B sound, this mahogany punch is unmatched by modern drums.

Shell Configurations & Dimensions:

Bass Drum: 20" / 55,5cm (Standard International size - fits all modern 20" heads)

Rack Tom: 13" Pre-International size (Actual diameter ~13-1/4" / 33.5 cm)

Floor Tom: 16" Pre-International size (Actual diameter ~16-5/16" / 41.5 cm)

Condition:

The shells are structurally in fantastic shape with clean and untampered interiors showing the beautiful, African Mahogany wood. The bearing edges are original and in good vintage condition.

The interiors are overall immaculate, showcasing the gorgeous dark reddish hue of the African Mahogany shells and the light beech reinforcement rings. The original internal dampers/mufflers are fully intact and functional.

Both original Premier bass drum spurs (legs) are included and fully functional. No extra holes have been drilled.

The original gold sparkle wrap has some beautiful, authentic vintage patina and UV fading/aging from the sun over the last 55+ years but still has plenty of that golden sparkle left - ready to shine in your studio or live. There are no extra holes or modifications. This kit is a pure, unmolested piece of British drum history.

The kit comes completely stripped for easy shipping/inspection but includes all original vintage Premier 'Beer Bottle' lugs, tension rods, and mounting screws in great functional condition. Additionally, the original Premier snare drum holder/arm is included with the shell pack."

BONUS INCLUDED: throwing in a vintage 1980s Meinl Invader Hi-Hat pair, stamped 'Made in West-Germany'. It features the iconic purple logos and delivers a crisp, bright vintage B8 bronze chick. No cracks or keyholes."
