Gibson SG Special (with vibrola), released in 1970 according to the serial numbers on the back of the headstock, with electronics dating from 1969 (numbers found on the potentiometers).

This is a “player-grade” guitar in the sense that the headstock has been repaired, as well as the neck joint—two fragile areas that have affected many SG guitars. It was refinished, likely in the 1980s, which explains the price.

The good news is that everything is solid, it’s wonderful to play, and the P90s sound absolutely magnificent!

The headstock was professionally repaired by DNG in Paris about ten years ago; the repair does not affect the sound or playability of the guitar. Please refer to the photos. The tuners appear to be original and function perfectly.

The potentiometers, knobs, electronics, and pickups are all original from 1969.

I replaced the original bridge with a Tune-o-matic, but I will include the original bridge in the case.

The truss rod cover does not appear to be a Gibson!

The neck is very straight and has the slim 1960s profile; the frets are in very good condition, and the action is very low with no fret buzz.

This guitar comes with a Gator-branded case in very good condition.

You are welcome to try it at Studio Melodium (Montreuil) for serious buyers.
