Up for auction is a rare gem from the golden era of Italian audio engineering: the LEM BABY powered mixer with built-in tape echo, manufactured in Italy during the late 1960s.
What makes this model particularly special is its integrated tape delay / tape echo system using a cartridge layout, delivering a warm, rich, unmistakable vintage space-echo character that modern digital units simply cannot replicate. Channels and EQ have a deep analog feel, and pushing the input gain creates a great, natural, and highly musical saturation/overdrive.
Comes complete with its original hard case (with legs) and original factory schematics.
The unit has been tested and all functions work properly. The only detail worth noting is that a few of the plastic potentiometer caps fit slightly loose on the metal shafts — they are not broken, but they slip slightly when turned. Naturally, all potentiometers and controls remain fully functional.
