Mad Professor Mighty Red Distortion - Handwired. Designer Bjorn Juhl describes it as a high-gain distortion pedal, which was modeled after the 80’s style compressed gain. Gain range allows also low distortion sounds as well as stacking with other pedals, where an overdrive can pre-drive MRD for extreme and highly focused sounds. Presence control was designed to control the upper treble, but not to affect the upper midrange, so that you can get the exact treble you desire, from fat warm singing distortion to screaming cutting leads. Pairs very well with MP LGW (see my other ad). Functions perfectly. Only cosmetic issue is a bit of paint flaking under the velcro on the bottom (see pic). This paint flaking is common with MP HW pedals from this period. Comes with box and manual. Velcro on back; rubber feet are included in the box.Note: According to Bjorn Juhl, the power sockets that stick out a little from the body of the pedal were only used on the handwired versions during the period this pedal was made; the PCB models had a flush-mount socket. In addition, the hand-wired editions come in plain white boxes which indicate "Handmade" on the label; the PCB versions come in glossy black boxes.
