JAM Pedals Tiny Amp Destroyer - Dual drive/distortion and treble booster with Stu MackenzieStu Mackenzie signature · King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard · Dual drive · Treble booster · MAGIC voicing · Notch · G1 Global Bypass · True bypass · 9V 90mAThe JAM Pedals Tiny Amp Destroyer is a gain machine created with Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, built to capture the sound of a small, cheap, abused amplifier that stops behaving properly and starts sounding enormous.The idea began with Stu pushing two Boomsters into his favourite pawn-shop amp until it reached an unstable, boxy, compressed and completely unruly breakup point. JAM did not simply clone that setup: they took that wild response as the foundation for a completely fresh circuit.In terms of sonic territory, the Tiny Amp Destroyer sits in the world of small amp overdrive, tiny-amp distortion, garage rock, raw psychedelia, tasteful lo-fi saturation and classic treble boosters pushing gain stages. It is not a polished “amp in a box” or a recreation of a famous stack: it is the sound of the box losing the fight.The pedal combines two independent drive/distortion stages, called G1 and G2, with an independent treble booster based on the JAM Rooster. G2 is the more restrained stage, perfect for breakup, focused drive and more controlled saturation. G1 runs hotter, moving into heavier overdrive, raw distortion and more broken textures. Use each stage independently or stack them for the pedal’s densest blown-out sounds.The treble booster is placed before both gain stages, so it can tighten the low end, sharpen the attack and change how G1 and G2 respond. It can also run on its own as a classic treble booster, or push the whole stack harder for more bite, compression and amp-on-the-edge behavior.The active Bass and Treble controls let you shape weight, definition and presence without losing the circuit’s character. The MAGIC switch shifts the response toward the compressed, boxy and unstable feel of a tiny amplifier being pushed beyond its limits. The Notch control starts from a neutral position and progressively removes a key frequency band, transforming a full and forward tone into something increasingly hollow, scooped, unconventional and radical.The G1 Global Bypass mode lets the G1 footswitch control the entire pedal.
