Starr Labs Z6 2025

The Z6 is a unique, fully configurable MIDI controller manufactured by Starr Labs in San Diego. It offers zero latency.

The possibilities are endless: Notes on the fretboard can be played via tapping or triggered by the pads (like a guitar). The fretboard can be split into different zones controlling multiple MIDI channels. The pads are configurable (sensitivity, velocity, MIDI channel). It features a joystick for pitch bend and a fader for volume (though these can be mapped to whatever you like). More information is available on the Starr Labs website.

Purchased a year ago, it is in like-new condition. It is a very reliable instrument, but I no longer use it; I originally intended to integrate it into my live setup for synth-bass parts, but I ultimately prefer using an electric bass.

Sold with a wireless MIDI package: a CME Widi Master as the transmitter and a MIDI interface with a Widi Core as the receiver (offering very low latency). This Z6 is also equipped with a battery for wireless playing.
