To elicit the strongest possible acoustic resonance from the particularly slim body, Fender initially relies on high-quality solid tonewoods. The body is made from solid alder and finished with a Sitka spruce top, which projects an amazingly full and clear sound via the innovative WaterFall Sound Port. The maple neck with its slim Modern Deep "C" profile, on the other hand, provides a modern Tele feel. In order to fully cover the spectrum from Western to electric guitar, Fender has teamed up with US pickup giant Fishman to use separate systems.
