The WMS 470, Vocalset C5 B7​​​​​​​ is designed for setting up large multi-channel systems. It consists of the SR 470 receiver and the HT 470 handheld transmitter with microphone capsule. The C 5 condenser microphone capsule offers high speech intelligibility and optimum protection against feedback.

The SR 470 diversity receiver allows up to 16 channels to be operated simultaneously within a single frequency band. By combining several frequency bands, it is possible to create systems with maximum operational reliability, supporting up to 48 links. Thanks to the automatic frequency selection, which finds and displays all available channels in a matter of seconds, operation is straightforward even for non-technical users. A pilot tone transmitted with the audio signal prevents background noise by ensuring the receiver only passes the audio signal once the transmitter has been detected. On the SR 470’s ‘ Display ’, a change in colour indicates critical operating conditions, such as ‘ z.B. ’ (transmitter battery low), low remaining battery life, audio signal peaks or low RF field strength.

The HT 470 handheld transmitter features a built-in dipole antenna and 50 mW transmission power, ensuring maximum transmission reliability even over long distances. The long battery life significantly reduces operating costs. With just one lithium battery, the system can operate for up to 14 hours; with an alkaline battery, for approx. 6 hours. The use of a rechargeable NiMH battery allows for up to 8 hours’ operation. The remaining battery life is displayed on the handheld transmitter. Built-in charging contacts allow a rechargeable battery to be charged directly in the transmitter.
Both the receiver and the transmitter operate within a switching bandwidth of up to 30 MHz (per frequency set) in the UHF frequency range from 500 MHz to 865 MHz. Within this switching bandwidth, the receive frequency can be selected from the pre-programmed frequency groups and sub-channels on the receiver or set directly in 25 kHz steps. All settings are transferred from the receiver to the transmitter via an infrared interface. The WMS 470 is compatible with the WMS 4500 and WMS 450 antenna systems. Thanks to the extensive range of accessories, large multi-channel systems can be set up quickly and easily.
