Excellent, late 60's Sennheiser MD421 N. The white 421's are famous for good reason. When maintained properly, they are one of the most versatile dynamic mics ever made. I don't have to tell you what sources love to project into these mics, and the list is too long to write anyway!
See the video on this post for a whole stage of 421's, with everything sounding awesome.
Oftentimes old 421's suffer from iron/magnetic dust on their diaphragm, destroying low end response. Not here! Internals and diaphragm have been cleaned, the mic is operating with full beautiful low end. 5 position hi-pass (M to S) switch has been cleaned and functions properly as well.
This one is nice cosmetic shape, but not perfect. It has a little bit of honest wear that isn't impacting anything functionally. Had an on/off switch installed at one point, which is bypassed now. There are a couple hairline cracks on the bottom of the body, but they are stable. Grill isn't perfect but isn't close to impacting the capsule. All in all, a beautiful microphone ready for studio or stage.
Custom 3D printed clip and tuchel tail included. Sennheiser leather/foam case available, please inquire if desired.
